Author, Miriam Körner, spent the day at FGMS on January 23, FPMDS on January 24, and FMES on January 26, reading her books and discussing life as an author/illustrator, her passion for environmental protection, and what life is like with her sled dogs. The grades 4 and 5 students also participated in an illustrator's workshop with Miriam, where they had a lot of fun with watercolour pencils. We thank our partners, Athabasca Basin Development and Learning Foundations, for helping us bring Miriam to FMES. The students had a chance to ask questions, win some of Miriam's books, and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
